Still thinking about that sky last night after a pop-up summer storm rolled through. Such a gorgeous evening. Set up at the Makers Market at the @rcartscenter and walked over to @coffeetreebooks to buy a signed copy of this poetry collection by @williecarverjr that I’ve been anticipating reading. Birding with my son today for his birthday. I feel so much gratitude for this human and his love of birds 💚 Do y’all see it? This is the truck grill earlier today. Spent way too long trying to coax this critter out. I’m sure there’s a story here 🐸 It was a beautiful evening at Cave Run Lake. I sat on the bank for a while watching the water and the sky and listening to people riding boats and hanging out at campsites. Soaking in that nice weather. What an absolutely gorgeous day to spend in Pikeville, KY. So glad I finally visited, and I’m definitely going back. I am just in love with my new shirt from @appcycledky 😍💚 and I can’t wait to see all the art on display for the Mountain Grrl Experience show. Y’all, it’s going to be so good! Y’all, I am thrilled I was selected to attend the Appalachian Writers Workshop at Hindman Settlement School this summer. I have so much gratitude for this place and this community, and I can’t wait to be on the banks of Troublesome again 💚 Flowers. The light in that golden hour. Warm sunshine. Cool evenings. Whippoorwill calls. Magic in every corner of this place. Lots of deep honeysuckle breaths and soaking in this beauty. Lots of reminiscing back to those sweet childhood days laughing with cousins and climbing trees. The family and I went to a Reds game yesterday afternoon. I’d never attended a MLB game before. I really enjoyed parking in KY and walking across the bridge into OH.
