Recent Updates from Amy Le Ann Richardson

Hello, friends and readers!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this space, but I’m excited to share some news and reflections with you all. It’s been a busy few years, full of writing, creativity, and connection. As I reflect on where I’ve been and where I’m going, I’m grateful for all the support I’ve received from my readers, fellow writers, and community members.

Publications & Projects

I’m thrilled to announce the release of my full poetry collection, Out of Places (Pine Row Press, 2025). This has been a long journey, and I can’t wait for you to experience it. My chapbook Who You Grow Into (Finishing Line Press, 2024) has been out for a year now, and I am still so proud of this project. The cover features a beautiful painting by my daughter, Thelia, and it’s been such a joy to see this work come to life.

Additionally, I’m honored to have my poetry included in Troublesome Rising, edited by Melissa Helton (University Press of Kentucky, 2024), as well as Native Fruit: Poetry and Fine Art Inspired by the Pawpaw, edited by Stephanie Kendrick (Sheila-Na-Gig, 2024). You can also find my poem “Etched Into the Earth” in The Nature of Our Times: Poets for Science, which is a collaborative effort to raise awareness about environmental issues.

Other Projects and Appearances

2024 has been a year of exciting growth. In addition to my written work, I’ve been involved in community projects and have been honored to read in several new spaces. I also had the privilege of participating in Lexington Poetry Month again last year, and I’m grateful for the chance to connect with fellow poets and readers.

While writing and publishing remain at the heart of my work, I’ve continued to find inspiration in my life on the family farm in Carter County, Kentucky. Between tending to the land and my ongoing environmental advocacy, I’m always finding new ways to weave these experiences into my creative life.

Looking Ahead

I’m working on new projects that I look forward to sharing with you in the future. As always, thank you for your ongoing support, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to connect!

Stay tuned for more updates and thank you for visiting!

Warmly,
Amy
